Linear static stress and linear buckling analysis of a Pan and Tilt assembly, subject to external pressure. All three element types (beam, plate and solid) were used in the analysis. Although the design passed the acceptance criteria for the buckling analysis, the factor of safety requirements were not met. As a result, recommendations were given to improve the design in a number of areas.
