Linear-Elastic static stress analysis of a reaction cell, with non linear contact. A half model was used for the analysis. Although the maximum stresses were well below the allowables, it was shown that the parts were separating, indicating a a loss of sealing. It was recommended to include bolt pretension in the design, to prevent this issue.
