Modal analysis of a motor assembly, using a plate element model. Two load cases were analysed, with different representations of the interactions between various components. One model used a bonded contact, whilst the other used a bolted connection. In both cases, it was found that there were multiple natural frequencies below the operational speed, which could cause resonance if they are excited. Recommendations were given on how to stiffen the assembly.
