Snap fit and static stress with non-linear materials of a joystick and its bearings. The bearings were subject to the snap fit analysis, and used non linear contact and geometry (large deformation) as well as non linear material models. For the snap fit analysis, multiple design iterations were analysed due to stresses being far too high for the initial designs. The final design achieved acceptable stresses. The last 3 design iterations were then subject to a stress analyses, with different bending situations considered.
