Linear static stress and modal analysis of a buoy. Several designs were analysed, with the inclusion of different parts, gussets and patches in each. Different stress load cases were analysed with different accelerations applied to the buoy. The minimum factor of safety was reported for each load case, as well as the first natural frequency from the modal analysis.
