31 Jan 2020 Types of Dynamic Analyses
There are two groups of dynamic analysis: linear and non-linear.
For an overview on the different types of non-linear structural behaviour, please look at our blog: https://www.fea-solutions.co.uk/non-linear-behaviour/
These groups then have their own types of dynamic analysis depending on what is being simulated, what the inputs are, and what outputs are desired.
They are the following:
- Linear Analysis:
- Modal Analysis
- Harmonic Analysis
- Response Spectrum Analysis (RSA)
- Transient Analysis
- Random Vibration Analysis
- Non-Linear Analysis:
- Full Transient Analysis.
Each of these have their own uses, either independently or alongside another method to produce simulations to fit an application.
